SR. DATA ANALYST/TECHNOLOGY

W2 CONTRACT - USC/GC

DESCRIPTION

Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, developing analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. Assists the business in turning data into information, turning information into insight and insight into decisions. Applies specialized domain knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Makes judgements and recommendations based on analysis and knowledge. Role is more Data Governance focused. We are looking for a person that has worked in a CDO structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reports.
• Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources.
• Investigates, researches, and ensures the quality and accuracy of data between multiple systems.
• Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Filters and “cleans” data, and reviews computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Interprets data and analyze results using basic analytical and statistical techniques.
• Develop and provide ongoing support for reports with various Reporting tools such as ServiceNow, Tableau, and Excel.
• Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data quality, speed, and statistical efficacy.
• Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains databases/data systems/data sources. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Filters and “cleans” data, and reviews reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Works closely with team and management to prioritize business and information needs. Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities.
• Preferred total years of experience: 12+ years
• Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree
• Experience in varied technologies such as SQL (Microsoft, Oracle), Ab Initio Metadata hub, OpenAI, ChatGPT, MS Copilot, and other Data Governance platforms.
• Candidate has to have an Enterprise Data Governance and Data Management background

NOTES FROM HIRING MANAGER:

• Role is for local candidates only to work a minimum of 10+ days onsite per month
• Need strong Enterprise Data Management and Data Governance experience, prefer prior FS Services and or Banking industry experience.
• Need strong SQL experience including table structures, columns, and understand SQL syntax for different RDBMS's
• A background with Ab Initio (Meta Data) is a value add. Looking for a very seasoned Senior level enterprise IT Data Analyst level resource
