In this role you primarily deliver and collect packages along designated routes in suburban and rural areas. You may be required to provide your own personal vehicle to use for package and mail delivery. As an ARC you may be hired to provide mail and parcel delivery service on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (a weekend and holiday only position) or provide parcel delivery up to seven (7) days of the week. Responsibilities:

• Sort, lift and push moderate to heavy loads of mail and packages to prepare for delivery
• Deliver mail along your assigned route
• Pick up or collect mail from customers
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather: rain, snow, cold and heat

Requirements:

• 18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years old with a high school diploma
• United States citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of American Samoa or other U.S. territory
• Recent employment history
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment
• Residency requirement for background checks
• Safe driving record (if applicable to the position)
• Must be registered with Selective Service if applicable

Tips for Success:

• Pre-register—Receive notifications of any updates or changes to the event, and receive information about upcoming events in your area.
• Dress professionally—First impressions go a long way.
• Bring multiple copies of your resume.
• Arrive anytime between 10 AM and 12:30 PM—Plan to spend 45 minutes to 1 hour at the event.
• Bring a friend—All job seekers are welcome.
• Prepare a brief but effective “brag” to let the people you meet get to know you.
• Keep an open mind—Meet with as many of the companies as you can; you may be pleasantly surprised at what you find.
