AGPA:
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Policy and Procedures Lead Analyst is responsible for the more complex analytical work in the Payroll Serves Group. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the more complex procedural and training resources for various personnel transactions, primarily focused on payroll specialist and attendance clerk roles. Incumbent serves as the business analyst lead for process improvement, change management, communication, and training needs for the Payroll Services Group (PSG). Identifies opportunities for process improvements and gathers feedback through routine surveys. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and may act as lead in complex special projects of related to payroll and benefit services.

The position is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento within walking distance to light rail, farmer's market during the summer months, the Golden 1 Center, the California State Capitol, historical Old Sacramento and a variety of retailers, restaurants, and food trucks. Statement of Qualifications Requirements

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.  The SOQ is not a resume or cover letter.

  1. Describe a time that you were required to independently identify and research a problem and include the following: What information did you research? How did you collect and analyze data? What were your recommended solutions?
