Remedy is excited to partner with a very well-established global manufacturer in the greater Fulton/Oswego, NY area as they look to fill a critical Plant Controller role. This Plant Controller will perform complex accounting tasks, maintain company financial records, complete month-end close duties, and support tax filings, audits and the development of processes. The role reports directly to the Director of Internal Accounting and will help mold the future of the North America Accounting/Finance Team. Here are some important details:

Shift : Days

Pay : $105 - $125k

Here is what you will be responsible for as their Plant Controller:

• Prepare complex accounting journal entries and collaborate with other departments to gather pertinent data for month-end close.
• Compile, analyze and distribute routine and ad hoc financial reports.
• Execute the monthly general ledger close process and required reporting; ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Responsible for updating all inventory costs and ensuring that inventory costing and WIP are accurate.
• Ensure proper general ledger coding of all transactions and approve (or reject) transactions as required.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare supporting documents and perform tasks related to the external audit.
• Manage the accounting for capital projects; evaluate capital expenditures and summarize return on investment. 

We're looking for a Plant Controller with the following background profile/skillset:

• University Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in accounting or finance
• CPA preferred
• Proficiency with the use of computers, technology and Microsoft Office 365
• Awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 management system
