This position is 100% onsite at Waltham.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, with a start time around 8am –4:30pm, on Wednesday’s 9:30am -6pm.
*This role is eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 for full time positions (prorated for part-time positions) *
The Female Athlete Program cares for and champions girls and women in sport with interdisciplinary clinical care and cutting-edge research. Our definition of “female” non-exhaustively includes transgender females as well as those assigned female at birth, irrespective of their current gender identify or expression. We support the increased participation, retention, wellbeing and performance of all female athletes, including LGBTA+, black, indigenous, people of color (BIPOC), and para-athletes.
We are a part of the Division of Sports Medicine at BCH and are a research Innovation Hub for the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance . We are for athletes of all ages, from elite professionals to eager novices, to help them attain health at the top of their game. We take a comprehensive approach to diagnosing, treating and managing sports injury and recovery in female athletes, assessing and supporting the whole athlete – exercise habits, hormone balance, nutritional needs – to ensure optimal health and peak performance.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of experts in sports medicine who understand the importance of sports in an athlete’s life. Many of us played competitive sports in high school, college and beyond, and competed at national and international levels. We respect the strength and determination of female athletes and work with our patients to help them reach their athletic and human potential. Our Clinical team is growing, and we are looking for people who are passionate about girls and women in sport to join us!
The Patient Experience Representative will be responsible for: - Providing positive and effective customer service that supports the department
- Collaborating with referring providers and practices
- Scheduling patients and supporting the patient encounter
- Greeting and directing patients, families and visitors
- Monitoring daily schedule and coordinating flow with clinicians/supervisor
- Recording and forwarding messages, triaging calls for urgent information or services, initiating call for emergency services
- Providing routine clerical support as needed
- Actively contributing to departmental and organizational initiatives and projects with a focus on process improvement
- Prepares charts for clinics
- Takes vitals which include height, weight and temperature
To qualify, you must have: - High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous customer service or administrative experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
- Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
