A local nonwoven manufacturer is now hiring a machine operator (hopper/winder) operator on day and night shift.

Machine Operator Shift:

• 7 am-7 pm on a 2x2x3 rotating schedule.
• 7 pm-7 am on a 2x2x3 rotating schedule.

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Monitor the operation of assigned machine(s) ensuring product adheres to company standards of safety, quality, and throughout.
• Continuously monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements and quality are being maintained.
• Set up and adjust rewinders and operate the core cutting machine.
• Enter production reporting data into the machine computer accurately.
• Perform housekeeping throughout the assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
• Adhere to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/team lead.

Machine Operator Qualifications:

• Minimum manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Forklift experience is preferred but will train.
• Ability to use hand tools, calculator, and measuring tools.
• Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture.
• Capability to lift heavy objects consistently up to 50 lbs., adhering to safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.

Machine Operator Pay:

• $15- $18 per hour depending on experience.
