Resolve Wellness is the massage brand of Rehab United Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy - a family-owned private practice specializing in outpatient physical therapy. Resolve Wellness provides massage therapy and other wellness services to our patients and clients at 4 of our 8 clinic locations - Kearny Mesa, Carmel Valley, La Mesa and Escondido, with plans to expand to our other locations in San Diego county.

We are looking for a dynamic Massage Therapist to help our clients feel their best through the power of therapeutic touch. Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Review client intake and other required medical forms, recognizing any pertinent contraindications to specific modalities.

• Consult with each client at the start of each visit to determine the client goals for that massage session; establish a plan of care for the treatment session with the client and agree on the areas of focus and/or concern(s) prior to initiating massage.
• Complete 30-, 60-, 90- and 120-minute therapeutic massage treatment sessions with clients, as scheduled and in accordance with the established plan of care discussed with the client
• If applicable, consult with client’s RU Physical Therapist prior to massage regarding client's diagnosis and treatment plan, to align massage therapy with treatment goals.
  • Communicate any findings or general feedback to the Physical Therapist after session.
• Recap with client after each massage and make any applicable recommendations, such as suggested stretches, exercises, or home care. For non-patients, identify when a Physical Therapy referral may benefit the client and facilitate an introduction.
• Assist with future scheduling, making recommendations to the client when they should return based on your findings during the massage session
• Promote discounted monthly massage membership program with clients, explaining cost savings and benefit of committing to regular massage sessions.
• Maintain SOAP note documentation for each client session within Mindbody Online software.
  • 15-minute buffer following each session is provided for documenting and turning over the massage room for the next client.
• Maintain massage therapist hygiene standards, as well as sanitization standards, as dictated by City of San Diego.
• Ensure client safety and modesty during each client treatment session, including client positioning, draping, and providing sufficient time for undressing/dressing before and after massage session.
• Assist with laundering of massage linens using on-site laundry facilities.
• Monitor client schedule within Mindbody Online scheduler and call inactive clients for scheduling, as necessary.
• Assist with marketing related to the development of Resolve Wellness. Tasks include, but are not limited to, assisting with manual work on PT floor, blog writing, social media participation, client phone calls/follow-ups, doctor referral visits and/or other tasks assigned by manager.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Massage Therapy License - State of CA
  • Pending applications considered
• Versatility in massage modalities, including sports massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, prenatal, and Swedish. Specialized training in Cranio Sacral Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage are encouraged but not required for employment
  
• CPR Certification
• SOAP note documentation knowledge & experience
• Foundational computer/mobile device skills

• Skillset in cupping and instrument-assisted soft tissue modalities (IASTM)

Compensation:

$28.00 – 40.00/hour

Pay varies based on scheduled working time and actual massage time.
