Salary:

Established in 1993, SealedBid is a boutique Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) firm serving the lower mid-market. We facilitate acquisitions (sell-side and buy-side), corporate divestitures, strategic transactions (fold-ins), family transfers, management/partner buy-outs, and recapitalizations. Although our clients are located in the upper Midwest, we have a national reach with past client companies located across the United States and Canada.

SealedBid is an affiliate of BGM ( a nationally recognized top 200 accounting and advisory firm offering entrepreneurs, business owners, organizations, and individuals a wide range of advisory, audit, accounting and tax services to meet business and personal needs.

Primary Purpose:

As an Analyst for the SealedBid team, you will work on engagements with lower mid-market companies in the Upper Midwest. This position supports the transaction team in several areas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Financial Analysis and Communication:
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis for a given company and its peers within the industry
  • Clearly explain financial information to transaction team
• Presentation Preparation:
  • Create confidential offering memorandums, management presentations, buyer lists, and marketing pitches
  • Assist in planning and executing engagements
• Client Relationship Management:
  • Assist with maintaining client and industry relationships
  • Responsible for overseeing Salesforce.com system as the foundation for prospect/client relationship management and marketing campaigns
• Transaction Execution:
  • Participate in end-to-end transaction execution, including:
  • Developing client marketing presentation.
  • Analyzing historical and projected financial data
  • Coordinating transaction processes and conducting business due diligence
• Marketing Strategy and Materials:
  • Contribute to marketing strategy development
  • Create marketing materials for SealedBid

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• 3-5 years prior investment banking or other relevant corporate experience in consulting, banking, finance, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related area of study
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
• Experience in financial modeling and working with Microsoft office products, Salesforce.com and/or other related technology
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
• Solid listening skills and ability to identify gaps in logic – inquisitive
• Strong organization and follow up skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
• Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, complex environment and willing to adapt to change
• Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges
