Position Summary: Learn conceptual and detailed engineering of custom robotic work cells and industrial tooling using 3-D CAD software (ProE, Creo, and SolidWorks).

\n\n

 

\n\n

Responsibilities:

\n\n

 

\n\n

Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines (typical project duration is 4-8 weeks);

\n\n

Mechanical aptitude for engineering custom / prototype mechanisms;

\n\n

Sense of urgency to create and/or implement solutions;

\n\n

Ability to complete basic engineering calculations (static, dynamic systems) with assistance;

\n\n

Ability to maintain professional image and uphold company standards while interacting with customers, suppliers and / or co-workers; and

\n\n

Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

\n\n

 

\n\n

Experience / Skills:

\n\n

 

\n\n

Candidates must be in their junior or senior year of a 4-year undergraduate program from an accredited 4-year academic institution (i.e., mechanical engineering); and

\n\n

Maintain a G.P.A. of “B” (i.e., 3.0) or higher (selected candidates may be requested to provide transcripts upon offer of internship).

\n\n

 

\n\n

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

\n\n

Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) Standards. 

\n\n

 

\n\n

Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S):

\n\n

 

\n\n

Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job;

\n\n

Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as Vizient’s rules and policies that pertain to this job;

\n\n

Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures;

\n\n

Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures, and

\n\n

Attend required EHS training.
