What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for providing daily management and oversight of all health and wellness center activities and health and wellness staff including subcontracted providers. You’ll also be responsible for all administrative requirements and assuring compliance with the Department of Labor (DOL) and management requirements. Essential functions: Manage and conduct coordinated health care for students and implementation of other health-related programs, including medical, oral health, mental health, and substance abuse services. Assure chronic care management of all students with chronic illnesses. Prepare and submit required reports within the required timeframe. Provide nursing care and monitor basic health care services, emergency care services, and case management of students as needed. Monitor and approve transfers, separations, and referrals. Work productively with all levels of management to develop, implement, and monitor schedules for facility repair and general and preventive maintenance. Provide staff training for wellness staff as well as required training for new hires and all center staff as needed. As required, take after-hour phone calls from non-health staff for students’ medical symptoms not covered under the symptomatic management guidelines (SMGs) or directed calls per the SMS. Education and Experience Requirements: Active, unrestricted registered nurse license in the state of employment and three (3) years related experience with one (1) or more years of supervisory capacity. Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred. A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
