General Definition of Work The graphic production client services representative, under general supervision, performs professional work serving as the first point of contact for graphic production client communications. The client services specialist is responsible for various workflow duties in support of the Graphic Production Center, including answering customer questions, customer file preflight, digital storefront administration support, web-based client submissions support, email-based client submissions, entry-level graphic design, and forms management.

Salary/Status Pay Grade 04/Full-time, 12 months
Reports To Director of Graphic Production
Place of Work The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.
Essential Functions - Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
- Answer incoming calls and assist walk-in clients; resolve or redirect inquiries as needed
- Provide initial guidance to clients regarding graphic design and print production
- Serve as a proxy for clients using the digital storefront for work submission
- Perform preflight functions by checking customer-submitted files for errors
- Maintain digital storefront
- Manage web- and email-based request for services
- Create and maintain electronic catalogs of customer files
- Provide consistent, high-quality customer service and offer solutions
- Manage district-wide forms database for production workflow
- Process payments from clients (EFTs, pay by check)
- Perform basic general ledger accounting processes
- Perform MMIS inventory as needed
- Participate in professional development workshops
- Create an inclusive environment with positive communication/public relations
- Perform related work as assigned or required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities - Knowledge of principles and practices of public schools
- Knowledge of county and school board policies, procedures, and standards
- Knowledge of graphic arts including printing services, workflow, and print solutions
- Knowledge of digital workflow within a print facility
- Skilled in computer programs including database management (Excel & Access), Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and web-to-print software
- Ability to maintain professional and emotional control under stress
- Ability to reflect appropriate response to situations, while maintaining a professional and personal demeanor
- Ability to learn and use specialized tools, equipment or software related to business needs
- Ability to communicate effectively

Education and Experience - High School Diploma or GED required
- At least one (1) year of client facing experience required
- Previous experience in a high-volume printing operation preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements - Possess and maintain a valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
