We are seeking a visionary leader who can optimize our supply chain and logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall customer satisfaction. As the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to distribution and fulfillment. Your strategic insights and operational excellence will play a crucial role in driving our company's growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's goals, focusing on cost optimization, risk management, and operational efficiency.
- Procurement and Vendor Management: Lead procurement efforts, including vendor selection, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of goods and services.
- Inventory Management: Implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and reduce stockouts while ensuring adequate availability.
- Logistics and Distribution: Oversee logistics and distribution operations, including transportation, warehousing, and order fulfillment, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and automation within the supply chain, implementing best practices and driving continuous improvements.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to extract actionable insights from internal and external data sources, driving data-driven decision-making in supply chain and logistics.
- Risk Mitigation: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, identifying and implementing appropriate contingency plans to ensure continuity of operations.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, fostering collaborative partnerships to improve supply chain performance.
- Cost Management: Optimize supply chain costs through efficient procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead and develop a high-performing supply chain and logistics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management ( Apparel industry preferred. )
- Demonstrated expertise in supply chain strategy, procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Proven track record of driving process improvement and implementing best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and procedures.
- Familiarity with ERP systems ( Netsuite highly preferred. )
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while coaching, teaching, and mentoring your team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain and logistics industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of financial concepts related to supply chain management.
