As a Homecare Pharmacy Delivery Driver, you will serve the needs of our infusion patients within Northeast Ohio. In this position, you will be interacting with patients, delivering medication that is often lifesaving to those that are homebound and are unable to travel to outpatient locations. Your other duties will include but are not limited to: Filling supply orders and cleaning and checking equipment. Providing a stellar 'Patients First' experience for our patients and demonstrating outstanding customer service skills. Working collaboratively with the Pharmacy and Warehouse teams to prioritize deliveries. Escalating safety concerns noticed in the home environment. When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.Responsibilities:Performs pre-delivery cleaning and testing of equipment.Works collaboratively with the Pharmacy and Warehouse teams to prioritize deliveries.Performs delivery of medication, supplies and home medical equipment to patients' homes and retrieves medical equipment as needed.Assures proof of delivery documentation is completed and teracts directly with the patient or patient's caregiver, ensuring excellence throughout the patient experience.Escalates safety concerns noticed in the home environment.Stores medication, supplies and equipment in vehicles securely and safely according to OSHA, TJC and other regulatory groups. Handles hazardous medications safely according to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory groups.Maintains delivery vehicle safety, efficiency and cleanliness.Supports basic inventory duties for supplies.Other duties as assigned.Education:High school diploma or GED requiredCertifications:Must have a valid state driver's license (VDL), a good driving record, obtain and maintain eligibility as determined by CCF's insurance carrier's requirements to operate Foundation vehiclesComplexity of Work:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Excellent communication skillsAbility to use tools such as cellular phone, computer tablet, PC or laptop, bar code scanner to support delivery and inventory process.Work Experience:Minimum of two years prior delivery experience required,Experience related specialty pharmacy or home care business is preferred.Physical Requirements:Able to lift 60 pounds, load and unload trucks, sit or stand for the majority of a workday, bend kneel or crouch to set up and move equipment and use 2 wheeler safely.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Salaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
