Job Description

We're looking for a Communications Manager, ESG to join our Corporate Communications team and be our primary point of contact for coordinating all ESG-related projects and leading sustainability-related communications internally and externally. This role will report to the Director of Corporate Communications and is an individual contributor position. In this high impact role, you will bring our ESG strategy and vision to life by championing sustainability companywide and using intentional storytelling to produce our annual sustainability report and capture our sustainability journey to become net zero by 2025. This role also drives various other internal and external communications campaigns related to the environmental and social impact of our work.

As the sustainability communications champion, you will organize, inspire and drive the execution of our work on areas that include environmental stewardship, social responsibility, governance and people, culture and values:
  • Maintain records and track progress toward ESG KPIs - (Net Zero by 2025, fleet electrification, etc.); create reporting dashboard(s); gather input from cross-functional teams on relevant work from our practices and progress toward goals as a company
  • Create and lead sustainability-related communications campaigns internally and externally.
  • Drive ESG projects, communications and reporting forward. These may include surveys related to sustainability, measuring our carbon footprint and/or progress toward goals (commuting, technology, etc.);
  • Collect, write and edit stories and examples from around the company to inspire our internal and external audiences.
  • Drive the successful completion of ESG-related projects, including a thorough materiality assessment that will inform our next steps and investments needed to reach our goal of net zero by 2025.
  • Drive the creation and publication of addendums or revisions to company policies and respond to requests and questionnaires from suppliers regarding sustainability actions and policies.
  • Champion and inspire companywide green team efforts and volunteer events. Collect and craft stories about these events for publishing internally and externally.
  • Measure our impact and progress toward our Company objectives related to sustainability for our people, our culture and our core values of respect, transparency and accountability.

  • 4+ years of Communications experience and increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent time management skills and proven track record of accountability.
  • Specific experience creating content for environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs or sustainability topics, prefer experience driving that or similar projects forward.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience driving the execution of external/internal communications campaigns.
  • Superior organization skills, attention to detail, and commitment to efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of delivering highly coordinated projects on time and as committed, along with proven ability to drive effective collaboration across many functions/teams.
  • Highly skilled at applying intuition, leaning in, and asking questions to better understand, and quickly connecting the dots across various initiatives and teams.
