Responsibilities:
As a Controller, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Overseeing and managing the overall accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.
2. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
3. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting variances back to the executive team.
4. Managing and monitoring all aspects of the company's accounting software and systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.
5. Leading and coordinating the preparation for the annual audit.
6. Ensuring that the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
7. Overseeing the development and implementation of best practice financial accounting and control procedures.
8. Managing the company's cash flow and forecasting.
9. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
10. Developing and managing financial controls within the organization.
11. Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
