How you will make a difference in patient lives at Rehab America:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for performing various occupational therapeutic treatments for patients with injuries or disabilities that have been evaluated and have had a plan of care developed by an Occupational Therapist. Primary duties include:

• Implementing and executing treatment of all patients who could benefit from intervention as prescribed by a state approved referral source
• Appropriate delivery of treatment to achieve identified objectives in OT evaluation.
• Appropriate documentation of progress against identified objectives
• Appropriate maintenance of records/filing in a timely manner
• Communication of patient status and needs to the patient, the patient’s family, the staff, and other professionals
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment, treatment areas, and storage areas in an orderly and sanitary condition
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with each patient, facility staff and family member
• Following all regulations pertaining to the State Practice Acts and follows the American Occupational Therapy Association

Qualifications/Licensure:

• Certification and active License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from the state of employment
• Current CPR Certification
• Current State of Tennessee Driver’s license
• Current Auto liability Insurance according to Company Policy
