We are looking for a Security Campus Monitor to join our team. This position supports an educational client of ours in ensuring a safe and orderly environment by monitoring the hallways and promoting attitudes of student responsibility while assisting with the safety of students, staff, and security of the facilities. This position offers the initial benefits of weekly and electronic pay and accrued sick leave but can go internal to offer a wide range of benefits that could include, but are not limited to: holiday & vacation pay, health/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, and much more!

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in security and/or an educational facility as a counselor, teacher, administrator, etc.
• Ability to interface well with students, parents, and staff.
• Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times.

Specific Duties:

• Patrol and monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the facility to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
• Ensures that students comply with school rules and communicates with students to monitor behavior while in the hallways.
• Report conflicts between students to the appropriate administrator when necessary.
• Assist with school drills i.e. fire, tornado, etc.
• Monitor walkie-talkie for requests for information from staff members.
• Assist visitors with directions and secure proper identification.
• Assist with visitor sign-in procedures and building activities.
• Report any discipline infractions, unauthorized visitors, and acts of vandalism.
• Notify the building administration of any emergency, potentially dangerous, or unusual situations.
• Promote attitudes of student responsibility and assists the staff with the safety of the students and staff and security of the facilities.
• Supports the client in ensuring a safe and orderly environment by monitoring the hallways and the students while maintaining confidentiality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Shift hours: Pending - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.

Criminal background and reference checks are conducted upon hire.
