Key Responsibilities:
• Assembly: Assemble cabinet components and parts according to technical drawings, and work orders.
• Quality Control: Inspect components for defects and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Material Handling: Select, measure, and cut materials such as wood, laminate, and hardware as needed for assembly.
• Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as saws, drills, and sanders safely and efficiently.
• Hardware Installation: Install hinges, handles, drawer slides, and other hardware on cabinets.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production deadlines and achieve manufacturing goals.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training in woodworking or cabinet making is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience in cabinet making, woodworking, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills:
o Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
o Strong attention to detail and quality.
o Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
o Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials.
• Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift and move materials and finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
o Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
o Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
Work Environment:
• The role is performed in a manufacturing or workshop setting, which may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and other particles.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and dust masks will be issued.
