Job Summary:

As part of the Trane Select Assist (TSA) Team, this Application Developer will partner with business equipment manufacturing locations to analyze, define, and implement application product changes. TSA provides equipment selection and performance information through our commercial and residential channels to our customers, account managers and distributors globally. Our selection tools are delivered on a modern web-based platform to satisfy the needs of our sales force and Trane customers. This individual will provide software development and technical expertise for TSA.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in requirements gathering, design, development, user training, implementation, and ongoing support of key business information systems.

Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added): \n

• Provide application enhancements, maintenance, and support for assigned systems, including security and accessibility.
\n
• Partner with business users to evaluate, select, and implement vendor software.
\n
• Partner with business users to understand business processes and requirements, translate them into application requirements, and develop and implement system solutions that improve efficiencies, maximize customer experience, and grow and retain business.
\n
• Manage projects through all phases of project management methodology.
\n
• Ensure delivery of software solutions on time.
\n
• Actively monitor and respond to technical hardware and software problems using hardware and software testing tools and techniques and assist in managing overall system capacity.
\n
• Define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
\n
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems.
\n
• Communicate with business users within all levels of the organization.
\n
• Provide 2nd level support/technical expertise to help desk support personnel.
\n
• Work with geographically distributed team members, users, and customers.
\n
• Limited travel is required. 
\n

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and at least 2-years of relevant work experience is required; OR
\n
• Associate's Degree in Computer Science and at least 4-years of relevant work experience is required; OR
\n
• High School Diploma and at least 5-years of development experience will be considered in lieu of a Computer Science degree.

Technical Competencies:

\n

\n
• Knowledge of C# is required. 
\n
• Knowledge of web development frameworks is required (Angular/Node/jQuery/Bootstrap/React).
\n
• Experience with C++, TypeScript, SQL, MongoDB, is a plus.
\n
• Experience with DevOps practices.
\n
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or another cloud platform.

• Able to translate business needs into system requirements.
\n
• Project management, time management, planning, organizational and analytical skills are required.
\n
• Self-motivated, willing to take initiative and function effectively in independent and team-based situations.
\n
• Written and oral communication skills required. Must have good interpersonal skills, able to express concepts and ideas with clarity.
\n
• Understanding of software development process.
\n
• Able to work on multiple projects at once and effectively prioritize tasks.

Compensation Range: $62,000 to $130,000 annually. Disclaimer : This salary range is based on US national averages. Actual pay could be a result of seniority/experience level, merit and geographic location where the actual work is performed.
